Cookie Statement

Cookies are small text files a website can place on your device, for example to remember preferences or measure visitor behaviour.

This website does not place tracking, marketing, or analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising networks, or social-media tracking pixels. We do not follow you from page to page and we do not build a profile of you. We do count, anonymously and only as totals, how often each page is visited; no cookie is involved and you are not recognised in the process. See section 7.

On your first visit we do show a cookie banner, with the choice to 'Accept' or 'Reject'. We don't store that choice in a cookie, but locally in your browser (localStorage), so that we don't have to show the banner again every time. Nothing is sent to our server or to any third party in doing so.

The one exception is the optional map on the contact page: only once you click 'Accept' in the cookie banner, or otherwise click 'Show map' there yourself for that one visit, does a Google Maps map load, and only from that point on may Google place its own cookies. See section 5 below for details.

The contact form on this website stores nothing in your browser. The only technical measure against misuse of the form is a temporary, server-side record of a hashed version of your IP address (see our privacy statement); this is not a cookie and is not stored on your own device.

If you choose the WhatsApp button on this website, you leave our website and open WhatsApp, a Meta service. Once you are on WhatsApp, our cookie policy no longer applies; WhatsApp's/Meta's own policy applies instead. We have no influence over, and no insight into, any cookies WhatsApp/Meta may place there.

If you accept the cookie banner on your first visit, the interactive Google Maps map on the contact page loads automatically. If you reject it, or haven't made a choice yet, we instead show a static placeholder; you can still load the map for that one visit by clicking the 'Show map' button yourself. Before accepting or clicking, the map is not loaded and Google places no cookies on your device.

Once the map loads, your browser fetches it directly from Google. From that point on Google may place its own cookies and receives data such as your IP address and browser information, under Google's own cookie and privacy policy, over which we have no control.

Even though this website itself does not place tracking cookies, you can always manage, block, or delete cookies in general through your browser's settings. Note that fully disabling cookies may affect how some other websites — including a loaded Google Maps map — function.

We do count how often the pages of this website are visited, but we do so without cookies and without recognising you. Nothing is placed on your device or read from it in the process: no cookie, no localStorage, no sessionStorage and no digital fingerprint. The counting happens on our own server; no third parties are involved and no services such as Google Analytics are used.

Only the following are counted: the page requested, the domain name of the website that may have referred you, and a rough 'mobile or desktop' indication. These are added straight into a daily counter. No per-person browsing history is built up and nothing of an individual visit is kept.

To be able to estimate how many different visitors a day had, we use your IP address only briefly on the server: it is immediately turned into an irreversible SHA-256 hash, together with your browser's technical details (the so-called user agent) and a secret value (salt) that changes every day. Your IP address itself is never stored. A day's hashes are erased at the end of that day - so within 24 hours - and all that remains is a number, which can no longer be traced back to a person. Should this website start using other cookies that require consent in the future, we will update this statement and, where legally required, ask for your consent before such cookies are placed.
